Missing browser control does not indicate a phone defect. Some browsers do not expose it, and some devices do not have a camera light.
Keep the light away from eyes and do not stare into it. Stop if the phone becomes unusually warm. A few seconds is sufficient; browser-controlled light turns off automatically after about 15 seconds.

Some browsers expose only a front and rear camera choice even when the phone has several rear lenses. Manually test each lens in the phone camera app when a complete inspection matters.
