About TestingPhone
Phone testing without pretending a browser can see everything.
TestingPhone combines private browser-based checks with practical manual inspection steps. The site is informed by more than a decade of hands-on phone repair work and is built around one rule: clearly separate what the browser can observe from what a person still has to judge.
Founder and reviewer
Mario Valencia
Mario founded TestingPhone after more than a decade of hands-on phone repair and device inspection. He reviews the site’s practical testing guides to keep browser observations separate from technician judgment, operating-system checks, and hardware conclusions that a webpage cannot prove.
Purpose
Why the site exists
People test phones for very different reasons: checking a repair, buying a used device, preparing a phone for sale, or troubleshooting a specific symptom. Many existing tools either give almost no explanation or claim to diagnose hardware that a normal webpage cannot directly inspect. TestingPhone is designed to be useful without making that leap.
Evidence
How results are handled
Tests are labeled according to the kind of evidence they produce. Some results come from browser-observed events or capabilities. Others depend on what you see, hear, or physically check. Unsupported capabilities are reported as unsupported rather than being mislabeled as failed hardware.
Clear boundaries
What we do not claim
TestingPhone does not claim to provide manufacturer certification, board-level diagnosis, guaranteed battery-health measurements, carrier ownership guarantees, or a promise of future reliability. A pass is a snapshot of the behavior you checked at that moment.
Publishing standard
Original guidance, not a content farm
The knowledge base is written specifically around phone testing, repair verification, used-device evaluation, and browser limitations. We do not publish broad unrelated articles simply to create pages. Technology updates must connect directly to phones, diagnostics, repair, privacy permissions, resale, charging, batteries, cameras, or browser behavior.
