Multitouch Test Online

Place multiple fingers on the test surface to see each simultaneous touch contact your phone exposes to the browser.

What this result means
  • Browser observedThe page records a signal or capability the browser received.
  • You confirmedYou decide whether the physical response looks, sounds, or works as expected.
  • Browser cannot verifyComplete hardware health, hidden or intermittent faults, or manufacturer certification.

Place two or more fingers on the surface at the same time. Move them around to confirm that each contact remains visible.

No multitouch result saved yet. Hold at least two fingers on the surface simultaneously.

Privacy: Contact positions exist only temporarily in browser memory. Coordinates and movement paths are never stored or uploaded; only the maximum count and result metadata are saved locally.

Limitation: Browser and operating-system gesture handling may limit the contacts exposed. The recorded maximum is only what this browser observed during this test, not the phone’s hardware maximum or a certification.

Help me understand the contact count

Choose what happened during the test. Browser and operating-system gestures can affect the number you see.

Only one finger appears

Move away from screen edges, space your fingers apart, and repeat without an active system gesture.

Repeat multitouch test
A contact disappears

Repeat the same finger positions. Then use the coverage grid to check whether the problem follows one physical area.

Check touch coverage
The count is lower than expected

The displayed count is what the browser received, not the manufacturer hardware maximum.

01

The observed contact count

The number shown is the highest count the browser received during this test. It is not a manufacturer specification or a measurement of the hardware maximum.

02

Missing or unstable contacts

Keep your fingers spaced apart and away from system-gesture edges, then repeat. Moisture, debris, a screen protector, or an operating-system gesture can affect a single attempt.

03

A result worth investigating

If the same finger position repeatedly disappears while other contacts remain steady, continue with the touchscreen coverage test and normal pinch, zoom, and typing checks.

A browser test is one part of a phone inspection. Repeat an unexpected result and combine it with ordinary real-world use before deciding that hardware needs repair.
