A browser is not a battery diagnostic tool
Modern browsers intentionally limit access to many device details for privacy, security, and platform reasons. A website may know very little about battery capacity, charge cycles, internal resistance, peak-power capability, or the manufacturer health estimate.
That means a responsible phone-testing site should not invent a precise battery-health percentage when the browser does not expose one.
Use the operating system information when available
For iPhone and Android devices, the most useful battery information usually comes from the operating system, manufacturer diagnostic tools, or professional service software rather than a general website. The exact menus and metrics vary by model and software version.
When buying a used phone, record the battery information the device itself exposes and combine it with practical behavior such as unexpected shutdowns, rapid drain, swelling, heat, or charging problems.
Short runtime tests are easy to misread
Watching the battery drop a few percent during a five-minute browser test is not a reliable health measurement. Screen brightness, cellular signal, background apps, camera use, temperature, and network activity can change drain dramatically.
A meaningful runtime comparison requires controlled conditions and enough time to reduce random variation.
Physical warning signs matter
A swollen battery, lifting screen, unusual heat, chemical odor, or repeated unexpected shutdowns deserves immediate attention. Do not keep pressing a lifted display back into place or continue stressing a visibly swollen device.
If the phone shows a safety-related battery symptom, stop using or charging it unnecessarily and have it inspected by a qualified repair provider.
